March 2025

Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, held a meeting with Dr. Magdy El-Sayed, Chairman of MEVAC Egypt, to discuss increasing the production capacity of veterinary vaccines, localizing manufacturing technology in Egypt, and expanding exports to international markets.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Saad Moussa, Supervisor of External Agricultural Relations; Dr. Mohamed Saad, Director of the Veterinary Serum and Vaccine Research Institute; and Dr. Ahmed El-Qady, the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

During the discussions, the Minister of Agriculture emphasized the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to localize industrial technologies in Egypt that are currently imported from abroad. He noted that such efforts would contribute to adding value to the national economy, increasing foreign currency inflows, reducing import bills, and creating new job opportunities.
